Kangaroo
Location
Border Village, SA
About
'Rooey II' the Big Kangaroo, is found at Border Village - on the border between South Australia and Western Australia. Rooey stands about 5 metres tall and is holding a can of soft drink. We've heard that 'Rooey I' used to hold a can of beer, but it was felt that it sent the wrong message to visitors. So it was changed to something softer. Here's cheers anyway, Rooey.

Koala (Dadswells Bridge)
Location
Dadswells Bridge, VIC
About
Strictly speaking this is called the Giant Koala, and at 14 metres I suppose you could say it's bigger than big. You can find it on the Western Highway in the Grampians, between Melbourne and Adelaide. Yes, you can go inside the Koala for all the usual tourist goodies. The 1970s and 80s were boom years for the building of Big Things, and the Big/Giant Koala was completed in 1989.

Koala (Phillip Island)
Location
Phillip Island, VIC
About
What could be more Australian than a big koala? Maybe a Big Kangaroo or a Big Barbeque, but they're cuddlier even if they reputedly piss on you if you're cuddling them. This fine Big Koala (complete with a sign saying please don't climb on the koala) is on Phillip Island, Victoria. Unfortunately, my pic of the Big Koala corrupted and only the thumbnail was retained. But I thought I must share it with you.
