Apple (Donnybrook)
Location
Donnybrook, WA
About
6 kilometres north of Donnybrook you'll find The Big Apple. It's part of a large apple orchard where you can pick your own fruit. The 5 tonne apple sits on top of Lady William Apple Tower. Apparently you can climb up inside the Big Apple and check the surrounding views, or you could just pat the deer and have a barbecue in the Glen Karalea Deer Park below.

Ayers Rock
Location
Karuah, NSW
About
Yes, you heard correctly. Ayers Rock. In NSW. Actually called The Rock Restaurant and Take Away, inside is a cafe where you can stop on the long haul from Sydney to Brisbane. Go in the wet season and you can tell people you were at Ayers rock and it rained! It's about 14 kilometres from Karuah on the Princes Highway in the middle of nowhere. Look carefully, and behind the rock you can see a miniature Sydney Harbour Bridge too. This used to be quite an attraction, with indoor rides, Outback experiences, food and parking for hundreds, though nowadays it is looking a bit tatty. You used to be allowed to climb stairs at the back to look at the view.
